There's a first for everything....

I truly enjoy blogging about our journey as parents and sharing all the pictures of our family with you...but most of all I hope that one day Kennedy and Presley will love reading this blog and cherish each memory I have tried to capture for them. Our girls bring us so much joy everyday!

Kennedy's Newborn Photo Shoot...only 9 days old!

Although it was challenging to get the shots we did between keeping her warm, fed, changed, and happy, we are thrilled with the pictures!  She looks like an angel and I tear up just looking at them!  Well that could be my hormones too :)  We hope you love them as much as we do...thanks again Melody Dowdy Photography.  Definitely pictures we will cherish forever.

More blogging to come...my time seems to be very precious these days, as is my sleep!  Kennedy will be one month tomorrow, wow.  She is changing so much already...just pray she changes her sleep patterns very soon, haha.  My pediatrician told me that being a stay at home mommy is the hardest job in the world... I believe him...but it is all worth it :)

HaPpY BirThDaY Kennedy Anne Graf!!

Our precious angel is finally here.  All the moms I know always talk about their labor and delivery "story" so here is my "story"...Miss Kennedy decided she was very comfortable in my uterus standing up on her two feet (wouldn't you be??!!).  When she didn't flip after many exercies by mommy to help her gymnast abilities, chiropractic visits, and even accupuncture, the safest option for delivery was a c section.  Not exactly the way I had always planned my child births, but certainly what God had planned.  We scheduled her birthday for the last day of August.  I was VERY nervous but thankfully had Rusty to keep me grounded and focused on the end result, the birth of our daughter.  We had the best experience at the Winter Park Baby Place and with my OBGYN, Dr. K.  The surgery went so smoothly and so has my recovery.  I will spare all the details, but during the surgery, my doctor found that my uterus was what they call bicornuate, which means heart shaped.  The right lobe was slightly larger than the left so that is where Kennedy decided to grow. Once she got to a certain point, there was no way for her to flip to the other side.  Now that we know this, we know why she was breeched and we can be prepared for future children.  Rusty even took a couple pictures of my apparently rare uterus but I won't share those!  The Dr. and nurses thought it was so awesome, not sure how I feel about it, but it is what it is.  So Kennedy arrived at 10:40 am on August 31, 2011, weighing in at 7 lb 6 oz and 18 1/2 inches long.  She has a head full of dark brown hair (Daddy??) and is as beautiful as they come.  Our lives changed in that instant and I can't even describe the feeling I had when they placed her in my arms.  So that is the picture I am going to share for now, it was such a priceless moment.  I have tons more pics you know, but not tons of time (whole new world with a newborn in the house!).  I will blog more soon though.  She has her newborn pics Friday so I will definitely post those :)  Thank you for all the love and support throughout these last 10 months and the continued support since she has been born.  We are so blessed and can't wait for you all to meet her.  Now off to feed, change diapers, rock, and try to sleep!!!!   We love our little family!

Proud Parents :)

Ok I HAD To post this one...my nephew Taylor was in town for Kennedy's birthday and was very excited to meet his new cousin.  So special :)  And you can see her hair here!

Guess Who is One??!! Landon is!

Every day I realize more and more how time flies...and it seems like just yesterday Todd and Holly were headed to the hospital to welcome baby Landon into the world!  Today was his first birhday party and it was lots of fun.  He LOvEs cars, is walking all around, and eats cake like a true Birnie  :)  He is such a happy little boy too!  Next birthday on the Birnie list...that would be Kennedy Anne's!  Told you, time flies!
This is just the beginning!
Blowing out the candles with mommy and daddy.

Our Maternity Photo Shoot...Finally!

After rescheduling THREE times due to Florida's typical summer weather...we finally met up with Melody Dowdy for our photo shoot in Palm Coast.  She brought us to a hidden gem beach and also to Washington Oaks Gardens for some shots.  Despite the bugs, heat and humidity, and Rusty taking on a few waves fully clothed on the beach (visual, haha), I can't wait to see how they all come out.  Check out the sneak peek at the top of the blog....stay tuned for many more in the next couple weeks!  Melody is so talented and creative, let's just hope her models pulled off the rest!  :)

The Princess' Furniture has arrived!

Rusty and I are busy getting Baby G's room ready for her big arrival into this world.  Her nursery furniture is beautiful and we are so happy with it.  Mommy is still organizing her room, making progress and then changing her mind of course!  It will all come together though...either way, she won't notice right away :)  We just want everything to be PeRfeCt!
