There's a first for everything....

I truly enjoy blogging about our journey as parents and sharing all the pictures of our family with you...but most of all I hope that one day Kennedy and Presley will love reading this blog and cherish each memory I have tried to capture for them. Our girls bring us so much joy everyday!

My little couch potatoeS!!

Ever since Kennedy was only a couple months old, the TV has caught her attention with all its colors and movement.  She will pretty much watch anything, but her ultimate favorite is Finding Nemo.  It's part of her morning routine...and pretty sad that now mommy knows a lot of the words, haha!  Sometimes I catch her smiling at parts that are funny...Dory is hilarious :)  Here are a few pictures of one of her pastimes...too bad my Papa isn't here, he would love to sit with her watching the tube, even if he was snoring!

*** Kennedy does not watch TV ALL day...but yes, it gives Mommy some time to get a few things done when she does :) ***

Changing up positions...this is Kennedy's recliner, Daddy doesn't even have one, haha!

Just chillin' watching my shows!

Soon I will be able to change the channel myself!

This is her new face...it comes with a grunt sound...and a whole lot of strong will!

Time for SOLIDS!

After her 4 month old trip to the pediatrician, we were given the GO on feeding Kennedy her first taste of rice cereal.  Kennedy isn't real sure about this new taste in her mouth...I think she spits more of it out than actually swallows!  We will keep trying though...with her genes, she is bound to be an eater :)

This is a before picture :)  A bib is a MUST!

You are seriously going to feed me this??!!

Yep, we are...here it comes!

Open up!

This pretty much sums up the whole experience!

And then she would look at us like this, haha!

Like I said, we will keep trying.  I am sure she will get the hang of it soon :)

HaPpY BirThDaY Daddy!

Rusty turned the BIG 3-2 on Wednesday, well it wasn't really BIG but every year we get older, we think it's a big deal, haha.  We love our birthdays!  It just so happened to be Kennedy's 19 week birthday the same day so of course we had to sing more than once :)  Rusty actually sang Happy Birthday to Kennedy in the womb very frequently, as we were waiting anxiously for her real birthday.  He even asked the nurses to sing to her when she was born!  So needless to say, she likes that song a lot and was full of smiles for her daddy!  She does that a lot these days, and we catch a dimple every now and then too, so cute.  Here are a few pictures from the big day...this was my very first time making my Nini's traditional and very special ice cream cake...it was just as YuMmY as I remembered it to be.  Don't tell Rusty, but thanks to his birthday, it gave me an excuse to make it...and eat ice cream :)

The Birthday Boy with his delicious cake his awesome wife made for him :)

I wonder what he is wishing for :)

We took a walk to the lake...that was our big plans for Rusty's birthday, haha!

Kennedy was so excited she was drooling, lol!

I love this face so much!  She is so curious.  She looks so big in the Baby Bjorn now!

She's clearly not interested in taking a picture!

We both have messy hair, haha!
Having fun with Daddy!

I love this one...she loves her daddy so much!

It was a GrEaT day for sure :)

Just. TOO. Tired!

I had to post about this...last night, Kennedy just couldn't make it to bath time and this is what I walked in on after leaving her for a short trip to the other room!  It was too cute not to photograph!

She did have busy day visiting with Aunt Chab, Miss Jeanine, and her friend Miles...but I underestimated how tired she really was as I waited to start our night time routine at the normal time.  The good thing is, after her 15 min cat nap, Rusty and I quickly bathed her (got to stick to the routine!), she ate, and was back soundly asleep for the night :)  She must be like her mommy...loves her sleep!!

Special Visitor

As much as I love staying home with my little angel...I still miss seeing everyone at good old Blue Lake!  I was so excited when a few of my friends from work came to visit us yesterday...and also an old student of mine that I taught in Kindergarten and 2nd grade :)  Kennedy was happy to see everybody too...well, for the most part!  Here are a few pictures my friend Sarah took with her phone of our visit.

Someone is at the door :)
Lorien and Miss Chunk, AKA Kennedy :)  Pretty girls!
Looking at Lorien makes me believe that time goes by fast!  I remember when she was 5!

Feeding our babies...that's Baby Kate on the left :) So cute!

Thanks for the great visit girls, we hope to see you again real soon!  XOXO

4 months old already??!!

Kennedy turned 4 months old on New Year's Eve :)  We took these pictures of her that day...yes, the bib is bigger than her, but still so cute!  Kennedy is full of expressions, smiles, and has lots to talk about lately.  She is learning that she can do so much with her hands now...but I would say most of the time, they are in her mouth!  I keep thinking she may be teething but no sign of a pearly white yet :) She loves to go to story time at the library and watch the all the kids move around and sing.  I am amazed at how aware she is of her surroundings, not much gets by this little girl.  I could go on and on because I sware she is learning something new every day but let's get to the pictures!  Oh one more thing...her hair is definitely getting longer, lighter, and curling :)  I love it!

Who's 4 months old??  ME??!!

Yep, me...Happy Birthday to ME!

My Pretty, Pretty girl!

I love her feet in this one...and that she is eating her bib!

Showing off her baby blues and her kissable lips!

She likes to cross her legs now like a lady :)

And here are a few randoms from the past couple weeks...........

She does this face all the time now!
Her hair cracks me up!

Talking to her Daddy! <3

All dressed in mismatched fleece for our cool morning run!

Her new tongue talent, haha!

Almost the whole fist...must be yummy :)

Welcome 2012!!

So Rusty and I were definitely the parents at a New Year's Eve party with their baby upstairs sleeping!  I never thought that day would come...but it's like my brother Geoff says, "Kids will make a liar out of you!"  Kennedy is such a great sleeper these days so she slept right through the traveling, party, music, and fireworks...oh and constant barking dogs!  We were so proud of her :)  Rusty and I were able to ring in the New Year with some friends and ended up having a good time (And Matty, I definitely played some flip cup!)!  Which leaves me to the reason why I am blogging this...in all the packing involved with a baby, we forgot one half of the baby monitor at our friend's house...Mommy was not going to ler her angel sleep in her crib without it...so, Kennedy slept with Mommy and Daddy for the rest of the night!  We of course had to take a picture for the memory...ringing in the New Year in the comfort of her parent's bed :)  It was a great night!  And even better when Daddy got up with Kennedy the next morning!  I love my husband <3

She woke up for the photo opp, haha!  We love giving her kisses!

She's thinking, Seriously Mom??!!  This is her new sleep sack (a wearable blanket) she sleeps in...and yes, I put socks on her hands because she rubs her face all the time!  Rusty calls them her Jackie O gloves!

The future is looking bright for Miss Kennedy!
Looking forward to what the New Year has in store for the Graf Family :)
