Our Maternity Photo Shoot...Finally!

After rescheduling THREE times due to Florida's typical summer weather...we finally met up with Melody Dowdy for our photo shoot in Palm Coast.  She brought us to a hidden gem beach and also to Washington Oaks Gardens for some shots.  Despite the bugs, heat and humidity, and Rusty taking on a few waves fully clothed on the beach (visual, haha), I can't wait to see how they all come out.  Check out the sneak peek at the top of the blog....stay tuned for many more in the next couple weeks!  Melody is so talented and creative, let's just hope her models pulled off the rest!  :)

Cape Cod Family Vacation...Our little Kennedy in the Cape, haha!

Last summer it was Viva Las Vegas....this summer almost all the Birnie children and their families headed north to the beautiful Cape Cod to meet up with more family.  It was a great trip filled with lots of memories.  Baby G was once again showered with love thanks to Nini and Auntie...we are so blessed and thankful.  Here are some of the highlights of the Cape (I will try to keep them to a minimum!)....................

The Princess' Furniture has arrived!

Rusty and I are busy getting Baby G's room ready for her big arrival into this world.  Her nursery furniture is beautiful and we are so happy with it.  Mommy is still organizing her room, making progress and then changing her mind of course!  It will all come together though...either way, she won't notice right away :)  We just want everything to be PeRfeCt!

Kennedy's first baby shower was just perfect and so sweet in every way!  A special shout out to Aunt Chab, Aunt Holly, Aunt Julie, Maw Maw, and Uncle Bucci for hosting the shower for us, we are all smiles still!  We are truly blessed by so many family and friends that love us...and her already!  We were overwhelmed with the the gifts we received...in a good way!  Bringing it all home made it reality very quickly that she will be here before we know it.  Now for the fun part...putting it all away! :)

Little miss Kennedy has more clothes than most do and she hasn't even arrived in this world yet. And yes, those that know me know well know she will be my favorite shopping buddy! We have a couples baby shower this weekend too which I am sure will add to her collection. Can't wait! I had to share one of the gifts we received early from our old neighbor friends. LoVe this sweet towel and can't wait to wrap her up in it :)  Daddy is such a good sport too modeling it for you all!  I will post more pics soon from the shower.

We couldn't wait to share the exciting news of our baby girl with our family and friends.  So I baked a cake, baking was a fave of mine in the first trimester!  My friend Julie got the honor of cutting the cake to reveal....well, see for yourself :)  So fun!

THinK PinK!!

I had a dream soon after I found out I was pregnant that Baby G, as we have nicknamed her, was a girl.  I guess that motherly instinct had already kicked in.  When we went for our anatomy ultrasound the beginning of April, this instinct was quickly confirmed!  Rusty and I were thrilled and all smiles!  Immediately thoughts of pink, headbands, and all the cute clothes I could dress her up in filled my mind :)  Oh boy, daddy is in TROUBLE!  Our number 1 girl for sure and we are in LoVe!
