There's a first for everything....

I truly enjoy blogging about our journey as parents and sharing all the pictures of our family with you...but most of all I hope that one day Kennedy and Presley will love reading this blog and cherish each memory I have tried to capture for them. Our girls bring us so much joy everyday!

My BLUE eyed girl!

Not much to say....just pictures...well one thing, I hope this BeAuTiFuL trait stays :)

"Are you talking to ME??!!"

Her surprised look!

Yea, I'm cool...I can sit in my Bumbo!

"One MILLION dollars!"...in my best Dr. Evil voice :)

Yep, my eyes are blue!

Hahaha!

"I think it's time for a BIB!"

"My Daddy really DOES make me smile...you will see in the next picture!" :)

I LOVE this one! She looks a lot like Rusty here too.

Red Rover, Red Rover....Send Kennedy right OVER!

Well she isn't running right over just yet but she is ROLLING :)  And the first official roll over was on Mommy's birthday!  She quickly learned to get her arm out from under her so she can pop her head up and see the world from a whole new view!  So cute.  I am sure the next part to this new trick is that she will be across the room or under the couch!  I am trying to get a good video of this big milestone but I am not quick enough or when I do start the video, she just stares at me and flaps her arms in a flying motion...another new motion!

Step One: I think I can do this!

Step Two: The Roll, She's quick!

Step Three: How do I get my arm out?!

Step Four: Oh, this is how...just find my mouth!!

Step Five: Hello World!  Such a big girl!

HaPpY BirThDaY to ME...Mommy!

Rusty and I have very close birthdays so January is always a fun month.  I think I love my birthday more than he does though!  This year was one of the best...Rusty let me sleep in a little while he took Kennedy to get me breakfast.  I also got my first "Mommy" card, so sweet.  We went to Miss Renee's house later that day and while Kennedy was playing on the floor, having so much fun, she ROLLED OVER for the very first time!  What a birthday gift!  I won't ever forget that milestone :)  She's been trying so hard and then it just clicked...now she does it all the time and is actually liking being on her belly looking all around.  It was a GrEaT day that was topped off with a much needed manicure/pedicure and a romantic dinner with love from Chef Rusty with all my favorites.  And of course Publix cake! Delish!  I love my babies!!

Not the best picture but you get the point...it was so exciting!

My little couch potatoeS!!

Ever since Kennedy was only a couple months old, the TV has caught her attention with all its colors and movement.  She will pretty much watch anything, but her ultimate favorite is Finding Nemo.  It's part of her morning routine...and pretty sad that now mommy knows a lot of the words, haha!  Sometimes I catch her smiling at parts that are funny...Dory is hilarious :)  Here are a few pictures of one of her pastimes...too bad my Papa isn't here, he would love to sit with her watching the tube, even if he was snoring!

*** Kennedy does not watch TV ALL day...but yes, it gives Mommy some time to get a few things done when she does :) ***

Changing up positions...this is Kennedy's recliner, Daddy doesn't even have one, haha!

Just chillin' watching my shows!

Soon I will be able to change the channel myself!

This is her new face...it comes with a grunt sound...and a whole lot of strong will!

Time for SOLIDS!

After her 4 month old trip to the pediatrician, we were given the GO on feeding Kennedy her first taste of rice cereal.  Kennedy isn't real sure about this new taste in her mouth...I think she spits more of it out than actually swallows!  We will keep trying though...with her genes, she is bound to be an eater :)

This is a before picture :)  A bib is a MUST!

You are seriously going to feed me this??!!

Yep, we are...here it comes!

Open up!

This pretty much sums up the whole experience!

And then she would look at us like this, haha!

Like I said, we will keep trying.  I am sure she will get the hang of it soon :)

HaPpY BirThDaY Daddy!

Rusty turned the BIG 3-2 on Wednesday, well it wasn't really BIG but every year we get older, we think it's a big deal, haha.  We love our birthdays!  It just so happened to be Kennedy's 19 week birthday the same day so of course we had to sing more than once :)  Rusty actually sang Happy Birthday to Kennedy in the womb very frequently, as we were waiting anxiously for her real birthday.  He even asked the nurses to sing to her when she was born!  So needless to say, she likes that song a lot and was full of smiles for her daddy!  She does that a lot these days, and we catch a dimple every now and then too, so cute.  Here are a few pictures from the big day...this was my very first time making my Nini's traditional and very special ice cream cake...it was just as YuMmY as I remembered it to be.  Don't tell Rusty, but thanks to his birthday, it gave me an excuse to make it...and eat ice cream :)

The Birthday Boy with his delicious cake his awesome wife made for him :)

I wonder what he is wishing for :)

We took a walk to the lake...that was our big plans for Rusty's birthday, haha!

Kennedy was so excited she was drooling, lol!

I love this face so much!  She is so curious.  She looks so big in the Baby Bjorn now!

She's clearly not interested in taking a picture!

We both have messy hair, haha!
Having fun with Daddy!

I love this one...she loves her daddy so much!

It was a GrEaT day for sure :)

Just. TOO. Tired!

I had to post about this...last night, Kennedy just couldn't make it to bath time and this is what I walked in on after leaving her for a short trip to the other room!  It was too cute not to photograph!

She did have busy day visiting with Aunt Chab, Miss Jeanine, and her friend Miles...but I underestimated how tired she really was as I waited to start our night time routine at the normal time.  The good thing is, after her 15 min cat nap, Rusty and I quickly bathed her (got to stick to the routine!), she ate, and was back soundly asleep for the night :)  She must be like her mommy...loves her sleep!!
