There's a first for everything....

I truly enjoy blogging about our journey as parents and sharing all the pictures of our family with you...but most of all I hope that one day Kennedy and Presley will love reading this blog and cherish each memory I have tried to capture for them. Our girls bring us so much joy everyday!

Presley's First Month and then some...

It's Mother's Day today and I am doing something that I love to do while my babies are sleeping...BLOG.  I know it sounds crazy, but taking pictures, writing, and sharing it all with my family and friends is something I truly enjoy.  I am just a little obsessed with taking pictures of my kids, haha.  I am playing catch up before I head back to work Wednesday this week...tears.  BUT it is only for 3 weeks, I can do it, it could be worse.  My Auntie is here to take care of sweet Presley and Kennedy will continue to go to school and our neighbor will help watch her too.  Presley will be 7 weeks this Thursday and is changing every day!  She is much more awake now, but is a GREAT sleeper at night (7 hours!).  She is cooing and smiling some too.  Kennedy loves on her all the time.  I love that she looks for her now around the house and is always by my side to help with diaper changes.  She is my little shadow!  Kennedy is almost 21 months and is exploring the world these days.  She is talking a lot but still not totally making sense.  We keep waiting for her to bust out with a sentence!  She says WOW in context and it is so sweet.  She also says something that sounds like please, cheese, trees, and see all at once.  Her personality is unfolding right before our eyes and she makes us laugh everyday!  I could go on and on about both of them but I am working on NAP time :)

Some more visitors for the new little one.  Miss Melody, a friend of mine and my moms.  She and I coached Girls on the Run together at my school too.

Miss Cindy came to get some snuggles since her grandkids are getting so big!

My good friend Natalie.  I am holding her sweet cheeks on my lap, Brady.  She is 7 months old.  She should be my daughter with that full face, haha!  I wonder who Brady will play with more, Kennedy or Presley?

Sarah and Carter came to visit!  The man of the house, haha!

Play date with Bresnan, he is only 7 weeks older than her.  Love them.

Uncle Matty comes over every week to visit...and sleep.  We love him.

The Baby Whisperer.  My Auntie being here has been so wonderful.

I love this precious moment captured.  Kennedy is always in her face but it's soooo sweet.

We rigged the double stroller to go on a walk!  I need a jogging one for both of them, that would be a work out for sure!

She is holding her head up so good.

 Play time!

Presley's Newborn Photo Shoot at 9 days old

Both my girls had their first "modeling" shoot at only 9 days old...and they were naked, something they will NEVER do later in life, haha!  Ok that wasn't that funny, well kinda...but seriously...
Once again, my talented friend Miranda went above and beyond to capture these perfect, precious moments that pass by all too quickly.  I will let the pictures speak for themselves.  I continue to say this but we are truly blessed with two beautiful little girls.

Our happy baby, sweet Presley Rose.

She has lips like her sister and Daddy, so perfect.

 So kissable.

One of my favorites, she doesn't have many rolls on her tiny self!

 Full of grins :)

 We love her!

Tiny feet...and tiny booty, haha.  Wonder where she got that from?

Those of you that know the scare we went through with her feet in womb will understand why these pictures are even more perfect to us!

I had to include this one, poor Presley!

 Our beautiful big girl.

Taking a break from saying cheese...

 Framed in my room :)

 Getting some fresh air!

 My heart.

Kennedy checking out her little sister, she loves her so much!
 I  love this one too!

Where's Kennedy? :)

SO many great pictures that we will cherish forever.  Amazing the similarities between the two girls at this age, but also the differences.  You can look back on the blog to see Kennedy's pictures :)

Kennedy's FIRST day of school!

We decided to put Kennedy in the Maitland Presbyterian church school right up the road from our house.  She is in the toddler class Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9-1 until the end of May and then she will start the 2 year old class in August, same times.  She is LOVING school and we are so happy.  It was definitely bittersweet dropping her off and she didn't cry, just started playing with the kids...but I knew she was ready for it!  The teachers are great and the environment is perfect.  She is learning so much already.  So our baby girl is growing up...here are a few pictures from her first day.

On the slide (her teacher sent me this one)

Big girl having snack (and this one)

Her teacher Miss Suzie.  Rusty was taking these pictures as I was crying in the corner to the other teacher.  Hormones didn't help, as it was 4 days after Presley was born that she started school!

 Checking out her new room!

Girl in the corner is showing some skin, haha!

This is what Kennedy looks like most days when I pick her up!  She plays hard!
