There's a first for everything....

I truly enjoy blogging about our journey as parents and sharing all the pictures of our family with you...but most of all I hope that one day Kennedy and Presley will love reading this blog and cherish each memory I have tried to capture for them. Our girls bring us so much joy everyday!

Kennedy takes on the Pumpkin Patch!

I was so excited that this year the pumpkins I would purchase would not be for my "kids at school" but my KID at home :)  Doing things as a family makes me smile and I know we have so much more to look forward to.  We found a great pumpkin patch in Winter Park and headed there with Gramps....and yes, the idea of family photos for our blog was on my mind...although I was nervous Miss Kennedy wouldn't have it...she loved it!  The church had this big pumpkin with an indention (like a baby seat) set up just for photo shoots, perfect!  Although we couldn't get a smile out of her (she is smiling and cooing so much now!), we got some cute ones and mommy was happy.  She even sported her first pair of baby jeans!
Here a few of my favorites...

Tried to get some family shots but this was the best one, compliments of Gramps' camera skills, haha!

Standing tall for this photo!

Caught a sneeze :)

Kisses for mommy, love this one!

You can see the big pumpkin better here...oh and her cute jeans!

Sweet Kennedy Anne

Love the stylin' hair!!!!
Her very first pumpkin...well we got her a couple of course :)

Daddy and Kennedy in the Pumpkin Patch, I loved the white and orange pumpkins they had.

And here are the Graf Family pumpkins :)  Fun day!

Some of Kennedy's favorite things to do these days...

Kennedy will be 7 weeks on Wednesday and I am trying to keep up with all the changing she is doing!  I keep saying I am going to get better with the camera but since she is in one of my hands most of the time, I get what I get.  She is starting to smile (and it's not gas, haha!) and cooing a lot which Rusty and I love to listen to :)  She is sleeping so much better too and every time I go to get her out of her crib, she is bigger!  We hope to visit the pumpkin patch this weekend so hopefully I can fill my blog with some cute fall pics soon!  Here a few of her favorites in the meantime :)

Taking walks in the Baby Bjorn is a daily event, sometimes 3 times!  She loves to look around outside and fall asleep in the fresh air.  I think all the running I did while I was pregnant may have something to do with this!

Her facial expression is hilarious in this one!  Do you think she will have baby blues like mommy?

Multi-tasking!  Love her little hat :)
I like to ride with Daddy too...it was chilly this morning for Florida but we dressed her like we live in NYC, lol!

Auntie came to visit us for 2 weeks, we called her Kennedy's "night nurse" and "nanny"!  She was such a big help to mommy and daddy and we all miss her already.  She played dress up with Kennedy everyday, haha!

She better get used to photo shoots with mommy!  And yes, the flower is bigger than her head!!
Told you we were playing dress up :)

Caught a little smile :)

Another favorite....her pacifiers!  I love this pic, she looks so focused and looks so much like her daddy!  This picture was also taken right out of the bath, which is another one of her favorite things to do!

Finally with this new formula, sleeping is a favorite of hers!  She really is getting so big as you can see in this pic!  Wonder what she is thinking about??

There is a first for everything.....

And I am sure many more firsts to come!  Kennedy is only 5 weeks old, yet so much has happened in these first few weeks of her life.  Rusty and I find ourselves overwhelmed with love as we watch and learn her...I sometimes can't believe WE made her...she is our beautiful daughter and we are truly blessed.  You can actually see how much she has changed from one picture to the next.

For those of you who don't know, we recently found out Kennedy has infant reflux :( which means her digestive system is slightly immature and she, at such an early age, is experiencing heartburn. We are so sad she has been in pain (explains all the crying she has been doing!) but with the help and guidance of our pediatrician, we have her on medication that is helping.  We also have had to switch her to a special formula that has all the proteins broken down already for her poor belly and this has made a WORLD of difference for her, she is like a new baby. I guess mommy's milk wasn't working :( They say she will grow out of all this but in the mean time, we are doing whatever we need to keep her comfortable and happy!

Here are a few more pics of some of her "firsts".... I am WaY behind on blogging but hoping to get better now that she is more predicatable.  I am actually guilty of not taking more pictures of her, yes ME!!  haha
First shot :(  And more to come in 3 weeks, so sad.

First bath...and then here's a more recent one...told you I was behind on blogging!
And after bath with a little smile :)

 First fun tummy time!
First time cleaning and in the baby Bjorn, she loves white noise so she actually likes the vacuum!  Daddy is happy about that, lol!
Don't worry, she likes to clean with daddy too!
First little smile, ok I know it's gas but it's still cute!

This was taken a while ago but the first time she actually kept her pacifier in!  Now she seems to like it better, but really could take it or leave it.
Showing off her baby blues (for now) and telling you all that she feels SO much better :)
