Beach Getaway!

For Father's Day weekend, we packed up (packing up with a baby is like bringing the whole house) and headed to Cape Canaveral Beach! Thank you so much Uncle Tim and Aunt Jane (Ja'mamaw) for letting us use your beautiful beach condo, it was a perfect and much needed getaway! Kennedy had so much fun at the beach. It was crazy to see her and Rusty out in the big waves playing...my baby girl has no fear of water! She also loved the sand and splashing in the water hole Daddy dug for her. We really enjoyed "living" on the beach for the long weekend...waking up to the perfect place for a run and sitting on the balcony at night enjoying a glass of wine were a few of my favorites. But I almost forgot...the BEST part was that Sunday was Rusty's First Father's Day...we are two LUCKY girls to have this Daddy by our sides. We love you so much and are so glad we got to spend the weekend as a family...Oh and eat your favorite...pancakes!!!! :)

Friday we went to the Brevard Zoo with Aunt Julie, Ryan, and some other mommies from DeLand...way cooler than Sanford Zoo, they even have a kids splash park! Kennedy loved the train ride, the water park, and especially trying FRENCH FRIES! Yep, thanks Julie, haha!

Kennedy: "Ryan, Did you see those Black Birds trying to get our food??!!"

Ryan: "Can I get in the stroller with you?? and Where is my Mommy??!!"

Haha, they are so cute!

Now down to the beach to build sand castles with Daddy!

Retired the BUMBO

After about 6 months of GOOD use, we have officially put the BUMBO in the closet :( I was actually sad...it was a great way to keep Kennedy centralized in one area while I got things done, perfect for traveling with, and also because it was her mini, super convenient high chair! That thing was money well spent and will definitely get use with the next baby. It may be my staple gift for baby showers too...yep, that is how much I LOVED the bumbo! But now little Kennedy is on the GO and will have nothing to do with sitting STILL!

Her expressions are almost the same here! She was about 4 months in the one to the left and almost 9 in the right picture (this was the actual last day she was in the BUMBO). You can't tell in the picture, but her legs are touching the countertop which meant she could get OUT!

A Notorious Nine Months!

So much is happening every day that I can't keep up! Kennedy is gaining more and more confidence...which means Mommy and Daddy need more and more patience! She is officially CRAWLING and PULLING UP...oh and then LETTING GO! Girl has no fear! She has mastered rolling over into a sit up position, so no more just laying around looking at the ceiling; she is always sitting, even in her crib...which means she is playing and pulling up when she is supposed to be sleeping, haha! She finds fuzz, cords, shoes, or whatever else I think I hid and plays with them. She wants to touch everything...her faves are the house phone (waiting for the time she calls 911!), the mail, and keys! She still "knocks" on things, we love it, it's her signature! At her 9 month check up, the pediatrician laughed when she knocked on his stethoscope and startled him! She is also waving (the cutest!), stands on her tipee toes, sleeps with her butt in the air and one hand backwards, and SQUEALS all the time! Kennedy loves to suck on ice and is now snacking on rice cakes and baby puffs (and still eating all her veggies I make!). She now has 5 teeth (hence why she loves ice!) and I think 3 on the way! Oh, she has her FIRST freckle on her top right thigh...and lots more to come I am sure!
Enough rambling though, I have pictures to show all these fun things Kennedy is doing these days :)

9 month check up...60th % for weight (19 pounds), 30th % for height (my little shawty), and 90th% for her head (has been since birth). She got a perfect bill of health and our favorite Dr. Coffman told us she had incredible social skills :) Oh and she didn't even CRY for her shot and finger prick. The best visit yet!!!!!
