There's a first for everything....

I truly enjoy blogging about our journey as parents and sharing all the pictures of our family with you...but most of all I hope that one day Kennedy and Presley will love reading this blog and cherish each memory I have tried to capture for them. Our girls bring us so much joy everyday!

The Birnie Cousins

The first time they have all been together in one place at one time!  Too bad Nini had already left town, but Gramps was in heaven to have 3 of his kids and ALL of his grandkids in one place.  Kennedy and I met them all in Winter Park after they took a fun train ride there from DeLand.  Taylor couldn't stop talking about the train ride and was Gramps' best friend for the day.  Taylor and Audrey were also very excited to see "KennTee" as they call her.  Of course, Landon was all smiles and gave me lots of kisses.  After we ate pizza (typical kids cuisine), the kids loved playing in the fountain nearby, Kennedy was soaked from all the splashing she was doing in the water that I am SURE was not very clean, haha!  I so wish we all lived closer together, it was a great day!

Basically the best picture we got...although Todd and Landon are the only ones that got the memo to look at the camera!  I love it though!

Take 2 on the bench...Kennedy never gets the memo on taking pictures by the way!

Audrey is cheesin' here!  Kennedy is going in for the splash!

Having fun with Daddy!

 Trying on Landon's shoes.

Sweet, handsome Taylor waiting for his pizza.

My First Mother's Day

Quoting what so many others have said...being a mommy has been the hardest, yet the most rewarding, thing I have ever done!  I have shed many tears since Kennedy joined our lives...and not all of them have been happy, not going to lie, haha!  She has brought us so much joy in the past 8 months and I know we have SO much more to look forward to.  I feel very blessed to have been able to watch her grow from the comfort of our home...and share it with all of you.  Thank you God for blessing us with a healthy, beautiful, SPUNKY baby girl...I am her MOM and well, that just makes me HaPpY :)  So...this is what Mother's Day feels like :)

I am also thankful my wonderful MOM was here to celebrate the day with us too, I wouldn't be the mom I am without such a great role model.  Thank you Mom for making my week so special!
It was a great First Mother's Day!

My card from Kennedy...with Rusty's sense of humor :)

 My little angel's handprint.

Baby flowers from baby Kennedy :)

The best one of all three of us that we got...Kennedy has her classic POPEYE look of course!
Rusty took us to my favorite restaurant for dinner, Hillstone's.  Uncle Matty, Uncle Todd, and Landon were there too.  Yummy!

Kennedy is so busy these days, photos are not on her agenda!
Oh and notice my beautiful necklace from Rusty, it has Kennedy's picture on it which makes it even more special!  I love it!

She is always pulling up now!

Grabbing the grass...this is while we were waiting to be seated.  I am sure you can imagine how dinner went!  My busy body!

I will cherish the shots Rusty got...mother/daughter love :)

Hanging out with Daddy while mommy had some wine!
Nini got Kennedy this cute dress, she looked so pretty!

 Sitting by the lake...

I love you so much Kennedy Anne...even if you don't want to pose for the camera on Mother's Day :)

Family FuN!

Even though our families live scattered and some far away, Kennedy has been lucky to see them pretty often in her almost 9 months of life.  Her Nini was here again for a visit and got to spend Mother's Day with us.  Her cousin Landon also came over for a sleep over and had so much fun playing in Aunt Jen's "non-child proof" house, haha!  And to top all this family fun off, Rusty and I went to the TPC golf tournament in Ponte Vedra with all my brothers, except Eric, and had a great time.  Nini watched Kennedy so we could have a weekend away...Happy Mother's Day to me :)  I actually failed on taking pictures while I had almost the whole family together, but here are a few from the week with the family (some are from my cell phone!)!  We miss you ALL already!

The Birnie Blues...notice the destruction in the background!

Landon and Kennedy going in for a kiss! So cute ;)

Landon kept patting her head and saying "BABY"

Shopping with Nini...we wanted to get Kennedy this hat but since her head has been in the high 90th percentile since birth, it didn't fit! LOL

It was still cute though :)

 Watching TV with Uncle Matty!

She loves her Uncle Matty, just like all the cousins do.  He's a favorite and I know will make a great daddy one day :)

At the TPC near the 17th hole.  You weren't supposed to take pictures but I snuck a few!
So glad we got to go with everyone!

Up close and personal with Tiger Woods, I was so excited!
