There's a first for everything....

I truly enjoy blogging about our journey as parents and sharing all the pictures of our family with you...but most of all I hope that one day Kennedy and Presley will love reading this blog and cherish each memory I have tried to capture for them. Our girls bring us so much joy everyday!

Cape Canaveral Beach Getaway!

SO thankful for our friends Tim and Jane who let us stay in their perfect beach condo for the week (back in June...late post, of course).  Staying ON the beach when you have 2 little ones is priceless, not to mention waking up to God's beauty in sight and in sound right out your window, so relaxing.  Kennedy was not afraid at all of the ocean, the waves were so fun to watch and play in.  She was not that into building sand castles and getting her hands dirty but she did enjoy finding lots of shells.  Her favorite place to be though was the POOL.  She even learned to say it.  She seriously would just jump in if I wasn't quick enough...slight heart attack almost every day for me.  In order to make the daily pool trips more enjoyable, we bought her a floating device to wear until she can swim.  This was literally a lifesaver.  I am sure it won't be long though till she is a little fish...she is a GRAF!  Presley also made her first debut at the beach and was quite the sun bum laying under our umbrella sleeping in the sand.  She has been such a sport traveling and adapting to all the new places (we are so blessed).  We all had so much fun in the sun...Auntie was there with us for her last week in Florida (so sad) and some special visits with my best friend Tabatha and her sweet kids.  We hope to make this an annual trip...that is if the Moorhead Family will allow it :)

Mommy Tip: Bring a few trustworthy, sweet 6th graders (or tweens as they say) with you to the beach to play with your toddler while you sit back in the sun and smile at how much fun they are having!  Thank you Alyssa and Alyssa, my little mommy helpers!

We are here!  Those are the condos in the background and that is a beer in  my hand!  Starting the vacation off right!

Baby feet

Safe in Daddy's arms

Loved the waves!

The next morning we headed out pretty early to beat the hot sun.  Scoping out the surf :)

Babies in their swimsuits and hats are one of the cutest things EVER!

Presley joined us for the afternoon trip down.

The next day Tabatha and her family came to visit!  This is Alyssa Crook, Shawn's (Tabatha's boyfriend) daughter.

Playing with the girls

Tabatha and I have been friends since the 6th grade and we always said that our kids would one day play together.  It was so neat to see that middle school dream come true!
This is her oldest daughter Alyssa Grace and my youngest Presley Rose!

The girls stayed for a sleepover!

Teamwork for the piggies!

Kennedy loved having them there!

 My favorite.  Pigtail Beauties.

Guess what I got to do since I had babysitters??!!

My sweet P sleeping on the balcony in the fresh air.

I took the girls home that afternoon and Tab and Shawn took us on a golf cart ride around their farm...I mean property, haha!  But they do live next door to a farm!

They have chickens.  We got some fresh eggs!

Feeding the cow that clearly needs to eat!

Shawn talking to the goat!

Kennedy was in heaven with all the animals around!

Oh  my chickens!  Tabatha showed Kennedy the rooster and said "cock a doodle doo"  Kennedy brought me a flashcard that has a picture of chickens on it and she said "cock a doodle doo"!!  Well it sounded very similar to that, so cute and smart!

Auntie talking to the Llama...it almost spit on her!

Checking out the chick!

What best friends do...help you give your kids baths in the giant tub.  We love Aunt Chab!
Can't wait to come back and visit soon!

Watching morning cartoons!

Stretch to grow!  Notice all the binkies she has to have, haha!

Breakfast

This is her puddle jumper as they call it.  So perfect.

We miss Auntie tons.

Presley especially.  For those of you that don't know, Auntie (my mom's older sister) stayed with us for 2 and 1/2 months after Presley was born.  I don't even know how to thank her enough for all that she did to help us with the girls.  She saw the good, bad, and ugly of the Graf family in the time she was here...but she kept a smile on her face and said she will be back. We love our Auntie!

Beach fun!

Sleeping...again :)  Fresh air is awesome.

All of Tabatha's kids...and Kennedy.  Perfect.

 Our set up.

Swimming in the deep end!

My girls!

Swimming with Daddy!  So happy he finally got back to see us :)

Fave pic of me and my baby girl.

Shell hunting!

Last night in Cape Canaveral.  Took Auntie out for some seafood and margaritas at a place called RUSTYS!

 Belly button hunting!
Headed home :(  Such a great week!

Happy Daddy's Day!

Here's a post dedicated to a special man in my life.  He is my best friend, my rock, my problem solver, my cheerleader.  He makes me laugh every single day, he can cook and clean, he is a jack of all trades, and he just may give the best hugs.  But most of all, he loves me and our girls with all his heart...and that love is unconditional.  Kennedy and Presley don't even understand yet how blessed they are to have him as their Daddy.  They can feel it though...I can see that in their smiles.  And then I smile thinking about how they already have him wrapped around those tiny little fingers they have.  The adventures the future holds....  Happy Father's Day to the best Daddy I know!  We all love you so much and appreciate all that you do!

This was actually taken on Father's Day.  They were both  mowing the yard!

One of the BEST birthdays I have ever had was when Rusty walked into a busy bar where I was celebrating with friends, with this gorilla in hand to wish me a happy birthday!  I couldn't stop smiling.  The gorilla has meaning that I won't get into, haha!  He always makes me feel so special and loved.  I have had this gorilla in my classroom for my students to enjoy for 5 years now...until last month when I packed up my classroom for a bit so I can be home with our own little monkeys :)  Gorilla is now in a friend's Kindergarten class and I am sure will get his share of hugs!

I love you baby!
