There's a first for everything....

I truly enjoy blogging about our journey as parents and sharing all the pictures of our family with you...but most of all I hope that one day Kennedy and Presley will love reading this blog and cherish each memory I have tried to capture for them. Our girls bring us so much joy everyday!

The Picture People Photoshoot!

Kennedy was almost 7 months in these photos. We had a coupon for a place in the Millenia Mall, and for the money, I am happy with the pictures! Plus Mommy got to actually put a FRAMED picture of my angel on the wall in our bedroom, yay! She was a tough cookie to capture that smile (of course!) but with the help of Daddy and the photographer, we definitely captured the Kennedy expressions! She was looking at the poor photographer that was trying all her tricks for a smile like "Who are you, you are not that funny, and why are you making all those silly noises??!!" Haha! We hope you enjoy our little blessing from above too and her super adorable self :)  Oh and yes, her hair seems to LOOK redish in this pictures but a lot of it was the lighting and background.

Kennedy's first trip to Sea World!

I comtemplated taking on the challenge of bringing a baby to a theme park without the help of Rusty...but I am so glad I did it!  My good friend Julie was going for her son Ryan's 3rd birthday.  Kennedy and Ryan are great friends...they just don't understand it yet, haha...so we were happy to go and celebrate with him. Kennedy loved seeing the dolphins, whales, and especially all the kids running around the park.  Besides the fact that it is already pretty HOT in Florida for March and the Shark cave walk through was TOO crowded (Kennedy's face was priceless walking in such darkness!), it was overall a FUN day and I am very proud that Kennedy was sooo good!  Oh and the best part was that it was FREE for both of us to get in...a perk for a Florida teacher :)  Looking forward to many more trips because there is a lot more to see...with Daddy too!

Of course Kennedy had to be on Mommy most of the time!  Oh my back at the end of the day! Clearly the kids were not in tune to the picture opp!  Haha!

The Florida Flamingos were so pretty.

Wherever there was shade, we were!  Being up close and personal with the dolphins was cool!

This was my favorite part of the sites...the underwater dolphin exhibit.  There were so many dolphins swimming around and right up to you.  Kennedy was in awe!

And she's out!  This was on the way to the Shamu Show.

I love this one!  She woke up for the show of course, she can't miss out!

Oooohhhh Aaahhhhh!  We had great seats too!

Wow, what was that Aunt Julie??!!  That's a big bathtub out there!  LOL!
She was loving Ryan's Shamu bubble machine!  Aunt Julie bought one for her too that was pink :)

Giving the birthday boy some lovin'...she just can't take those hands out of her mouth though these days!

Sea World was a success and actually a great theme park for a baby!  Lots to SEE!  Thanks for inviting us Ryan!!

Papa D...in my best Cajun accent!

Rusty's Dad "Papa D" came to visit during his trip to Bike Week.  I seriously wish I had a video camera on when Kennedy was in the car with Rusty and his Dad...they are so LOUD, the Graf signature!  LOL!  And she actually fell asleep after listening to them with wide eyes :) She loved her Papa D though...laughing when touching his beard, shopping in Bass Pro Shops (Mommy's favorite store, haha!), and enjoying all her Graf family company.  She even got to spend some time with her cousin Asher too...I think I see a future babysitter...he was so attentive to her and so cute playing with her.  Next time we see Papa D, maybe it will be in his stomping grounds of Mississippi...I think Kennedy will love crawfish one day like her Daddy!

I love this picture!  And yes of course, she is sportin' her Saints onesie from her Uncle Geoff and Aunt Sharon!

This is where she gets her tongue action from, haha...and the blue eyes come from both sides of the family!

Telling Papa D some stories...Or maybe he is telling her stories!  :)

Kennedy is really concentrating on the toy!
So cute playing with his little cousin!
Shopping with the boys in Bass Pro.

And you can see where us girls ended up during all the shopping...outside people watching and practicing our posture :)

Jacksonville Gate River Run 2012

I think this was the hardest race I have run so far...a combo of not being in the shape I had hoped for, the fact that there were over 21,000 runners to share the road with, but mostly because of crossing the Hart Bridge at mile 8...it was killer with the windy weather and because I was already tired!  I am so glad I took on the challenge though, it was worth it when I crossed the finish line after 9.4 miles in 1:28 min and 17 seconds!  A great time for me!  Rusty, Kennedy, Gramps, and Uncle Bucci were there to support me.  My friend Heather also ran it and did awesome!  We had a great time overall...maybe this will be an annual run for me??  But in the meantime, what race can I sign up for next??!!  :)

Just in case someone wants to cheer for me individually from the sidelines, my name is clearly shown??!!  haha

Kennedy patiently waiting for the race to start.  It was very windy and cool.

Before the race...

And after!!! YAY!

"Yep, I'm proud of my Mommy!!"

Our little family <3  I couldn't and wouldn't be doing all the running I do if I didn't have Rusty's love and support.  He is my biggest fan, well besides Kennedy!  He even bought me new shoes at the Expo while I was running the race.  :)

Last one...she still loves to get in the Baby Bjorn...but it's getting a little heavy for me!

It was a great day and I am so glad Kennedy gets to share in all our adventures now :)  Anyone in for next year??!!

When you SMILE...

It makes us smile!  Like I said, it is so hard to capture a smile on camera when I am trying to take the pictures...but it is SO easy when Daddy is around.  She lights up when he gets home.  Her favorite thing is to listen to him sing to her.  Sometimes he is silly, sometimes he is sweet, and he almost always messes the words up...but either way, it is her favorite...and mine too.  She also loves when he talks Donald Duck to her!  Rusty keeps saying he can't wait for her to hug him back...soon :)  And those of you that know Rusty, know that he gives the BEST hugs!

She loves her Daddy...and so do I!!

Hey, I know that song :)

I love this one because it shows the drool and her chubby cheeks!

That's my angel!

Oh, it feels so good when you rub my gums Mommy!

Last one...she already knows how to give a high five!

Half way to a YEAR old!

Although sometimes the days are LONG, I get what everyone means when they say it goes by soooo fast.  We can't believe Kennedy is 6 months old...she has been changing a lot lately and is definitely getting a personality with a capital P!  We compare her to a teradactyl dinosaur as she "sings" so loud when we are in public...you have to love the fearless freebird in her, she didn't get that from me!  Kennedy still loves her tongue and the noises that come with it, pounds her little fists all over (and on our bodies!), loves standing tall in her new excersaucer studying all her toys, is getting two little teeth on the bottom (that's fun, not), laughs at her daddy, and thinks mommy's electric toothbrush is so cool!  I call her my little Helen Keller too because she feels my face all the time, it's especially cute when she is tired and falling asleep :)  She is like a sponge watching the world around her, not much gets past her!  I put her in her little bumbo seat where ever I am and she is so happy, she is trying so hard to sit up without it.  She loves to be outside on our runs, getting the mail, seeing all the people walking their dogs, and waiting for daddy to get home from work :)  I could really go on and on about all that she is doing but I will get to the pictures so you can see for yourself.  She is the sunshine of our days for sure...maybe the next blog post she will be sitting up or crawling!!!!

P.S. The weather has been VERY warm this winter so I had to put her in her new swimsuit that her Nini got her for some of the pictures, too cute :)

This is her position most of the time in her Bumbo seat...I think she will be getting out of it soon!

My favorite thing she does with her tongue...touches it so gently with her fingertips :)

She loves Sophie the Giraffe...it's fits so perfect in her mouth...along with everything else these days!

I captured the classic Kennedy look lately...making noises with her tongue!

Loves her feet too!

Our pretty angel :)

Her cute sunhat from Gramps that doesn't match her cute swimsuit :)

My future is looking bright....
And she is over the photo shoot...thanks for coming out, haha!

Practicing sitting up like a big girl!

Getting my hair did :)

And the Giraffe again...

Studying her toys.

Something else she puts in her mouth all the time!

She LOVES books...she's been getting new ones in the mail a lot lately since we did a book exchange.

Put these ears on her in Target for fun, then had to buy them!  I think she likes them :)

It's so hard to catch smiles when I am by myself.  She smiles till I put the camera in her face, haha.  I guess I need to do the next shoot when daddy is around :)
